Why do I need an SSL certificate for my website?

 In

Browsers like Safari, Chrome, Firefox, mark pages without SSL encryption as not secure. This can have a negative effect on the trustworthiness of your website as well as your ranking on search engines like Google and Bing. When you have an SSL certificate, your website URL will start with the prefix “https” meaning that browsers trust the content of your site and won’t cause any security alerts to your users. All data between the user and the website will be encrypted, as will any information sent through your contact or registration forms.
